ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (A321 DENMARK STREET, LANGBOROUGH ROAD, NORTON ROAD, GIPSY LANE, FAIR VIEW ROAD AND HOWARD ROAD, WOKINGHAM) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING, PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURN AND PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY given that on the 14th May 2018, Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority made an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers the effect of which is to:

1. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along A321 Denmark Street, Wokingham between its junctions with A321 Finchampstead Road and Langborough Road, other than in a northerly direction;

2. Prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Langborough Road between its junctions with A321 Denmark Street and Murdoch Road, other than in a easterly direction;

3. Prohibit any vehicle from turning left from Norton Road, Wokingham into A321 Denmark Street;

4. Prohibit any vehicle from turning left from Gipsy Lane, Wokingham into Langborough Road;

5. Prohibit any vehicle from turning left from Fairview Road, Wokingham into Langborough Road;

6. Prohibit any vehicle from turning right from Howard Road, Wokingham into Langborough Road.

The reason for these prohibitions are to allow works in relation to the Elms Field Regeneration Project to be undertaken in safety. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by these restrictions shall be via Murdoch Road, Easthampstead Road, A321 Peach Street, A329 Broad Street, A321 Station Road and A321 Wellington Road.
The restrictions imposed by this Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed in the said roads.
The restrictions shall come into operation on the 21st May 2018 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
