ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE M6 MOTORWAY [JUNCTION 37 NORTHBOUND AND SOUTHBOUND CARRIAGEWAYS) (TEMPORARY RESTRICTION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) has made an Order on the M6 Motorway, in the District of South Lakeland, in the County of Cumbria, to enable replacement of safety barriers, drainage works, and other general maintenance; to be carried out in safety.
The Order will impose a 50 mph speed limit on all traffic on the following sections of the M6 Motorway:
i. the northbound carriageway, from a point 463 metres south of Brunthwaite overpass, to a point 250 metres south of the M6 Junction 37 overpass;
ii. the southbound carriageway, from a point 700 metres north of the M6 Junction 37 overpass, to a point 541 metres north of Brunthwaite overpass.
The restrictions are expected to be in place during a continuous period starting at 20:00 on Monday 4 June 2018 and ending at 06:00 on Sunday 29 July 2018. However, work may start and continue beyond these dates, or continue until completed.
The restrictions will not apply to emergency services or special-forces vehicles, and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
