Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the C1196 From Rose Cottage To Cornerstone, MadleyTemporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles between the junction with U73220 Church Croft and the U72319 Rosemary Lane. OS Grid Ref: 341911 / 238626. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the B4352 onto the B4349 onto the B4348 and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the installation of new water service connection works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 7th June 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
