Future Non-Denominational Education Provision for Children of
Neilston Primary and Madras Family Centre; and Future
Denominational (Roman Catholic) Education Provision for Children
of StThomas’ Primary, Neilston
The Education Committee of East Renfrewshire Council has agreed
to consult on the above proposal by the Director of Education.
In terms of the Schools (Consultation) (Scotland) Act 2010 as
amended, the Director of Education now wishes to seek views on
this proposal from interested parties. This includes the parents of
children attending the affected schools, Neilston and St Thomas’
Primary Schools and Madras Family Centre and parents of children
expected to attend within the next two school years and as such
local nurseries are part of the consultation.

Copies of the full consultation report will be available for review at
the affected schools, in the Council Offices at Barrhead and
Eastwood Park and in local libraries.

The Education Committee will make a decision on the
recommendations at its meeting onThursday 4 October 2018.
