M25 MOTORWAY – JUNCTION 17, NEAR CHORLEYWOOD TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England
Company Limited intends to make an Order
on the M25 Motorway in the County of
Hertfordshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are
proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order would be to:-
a) impose a 24-hour 50mph speed restriction
on the anti-clockwise carriageway of the M25
between points 240 metres and 2000 metres
south of the mainline railway underbridge
south of Junction 18 (A404); and
b) impose a 24-hour width restriction of 3.25
metres in lanes 1,2 and 3, and 3.0 metres
in lane 4, in the anti-clockwise carriageway
of the M25 between points 315 metres and
1050 metres south of Shepherd’s Lane
underbridge.
These measures would be in the interests of
road safety while contractors undertake bridge
parapet repair and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for a
currently undetermined length of time starting
on or after Thursday 7th June 2018.
The Order would come into force on
7th June 2018 and have a maximum duration
of eighteen months.
The temporary speed and lane width
restrictions would be clearly indicated by traffic
signs when they are in operation during the
works period.
