Deposit copies of the Order, plans and Statement of the Council's Reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Salisbury Library, Market Place, Salisbury during the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday, 9am to 7pm Tuesday and Friday, 9am to 5pm Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday until 4 June 2018. Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Various Temporary Traffic Measures, Salisbury (OVO Energy Tour Series Cycling Event)
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to:
Close temporarily to all vehicular traffic: (a) Blue Boar Row; from its junction with Endless Street to its junction with Minster Street; (b) Queen Street; from its junction with Blue Boar Row to its junction with New Canal; (c) Minster Street; from its junction with Blue Boar Row to its junction with Silver Street; (d) Silver Street; from its junction with Minster Street too its junction with High Street; (e) High Street (Part); from its junction with Silver Street to its junction with New Canal; (f) New Canal; from its junction with High Street to its junction with Catherine Street; (g) Catherine Street; from its junction with New Canal to its junction with Ivy Street; (h) Ivy Street; from its junction with Catherine Street to its junction with Brown Street; (i) Brown Street; from its junction with Ivy Street to its junction with Winchester Street; (j) Winchester Street (Part); from its junction with Brown Street to its junction with Blue Boar Row; (k) Milford Street (Part); from its junction with New Canal to its junction with Gigant Street; (l) Endless Street (Part); from its junction with Blue Boar Row to its junction with Chipper Lane; (m) Trinity Street; from its junction with Brown Street to its junction with Gigant Street. And to implement temporary No Waiting at Any Time restrictions effective for all parking, loading and disabled bays on the lengths of road identified in parts (a) to (m) above. These temporary traffic measures are required to safeguard members of the public and competitors whilst enabling the OVO Energy Tour Series Cycling Event to take place. The Order will come into force on Thursday 31st May 2018 with the exception of vehicles officially involved in the cycle race, vehicles being used for ambulance, police or fire brigade purposes, or the purpose of a statutory undertaker in an emergency, or with permission being given by a Police Constable in uniform or a Community Safety (CSAS) accredited marshal. Temporary road closures (a) and (b) will come into operation between the hours of 09.00 - 23.59. Temporary road closures (c) to (m) and temporary suspension of one-way (n) will come into operation between the hours of 13.00 - 23.59. Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Stock Lane (Part), Landford; for a distance of approximately 80m adjacent to property Manor Farm to enable Bournemouth Water to carry out works for a new water connection. Alternative route via Stock Lane (unaffected length) - A36 and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 4 June 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 8 June 2018. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (b) A345 Salisbury Road (Part), Amesbury; from its junction with South Mill Road for a distance of approximately 500m in a southerly direction to enable Tarmac to undertake highway resurfacing work including installation of road markings and associated works. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) - A303 - A360 - A36 - A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 15 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required daily between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30 until 22 May 2018. This Order will come into operation on 14 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required nightly between the hours of 19.00 and 06.00 until 17 May 2018. Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (e) A3094 (Part), Quidhampton, Wilton, Netherhampton and Salisbury; from its junction with A36 to its junction with Upper Street, Harnham to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway reconstruction, surface dressing and road markings. Alternative route via A36 -A338 - A3094 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order which previously came into operation on 13 February 2017 will now recommence on 16 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for 36 uninterrupted hours.
