Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Oxford, Footpath 320/4 (Thames Path) Closure Date of Order: 8 May 2018 Coming into force: 14 May 2018 This Order is being introduced because of improvement works to the footpath/towpath which are anticipated to take 6 weeks to complete in 3 phases. The effect of the Order is to close temporarily Footpath 320/4 which leads from Folly Bridge westwards to the Gas Works. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
The alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure will be signed locally via roads and the opposite river path. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref: JaC/T5607)

(OXFORD - ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARKING PLACES) (VARIATION NO.1) ORDER 20**

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council proposes to make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Order will amend the Oxfordshire County Council (Oxford Electric Vehicle Parking Places) Order 2018. The effect of the order is to provide an electric vehicle (EV) parking place in Hawksmoor Road, North Summertown on the north side 5.5 metres east of the western end for a length of 5 metres. This is currently within an area of general parking for 2 hours from Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm (Resident Permit holders exempt); the right to park and charge an EV is for a maximum of 3 hours, outside those times/days there are no waiting restrictions. Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://consultations.oxfordshire.gov.uk, or in person at County Hall, Oxford, OX1 1ND, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and at Summertown Library, South Parade, Oxford, OX2 7JN, Monday & Friday from 9.30am to 5.30pm, Tuesday & Thursday from 9.30am to 7.00pm, and Saturday from 9.00am to 4.30pm.
Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 08 June 2018. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN the County Council proposes to
make the above order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers. The Oxfordshire County Council (The City of Oxford) (Central Area) (Traffic Management) (Consolidation) Order 2003 will be further amended accordingly.
The proposals are in response to required changes to the layout of the crossroads junction of Worcester Street - Hythe Bridge Street - George Street where vehicle movement will be clarified. Bollards and traffic islands will be provided across and separating Worcester Street (south) and George Street from Hythe Bridge Street/Worcester Street (north) to prevent motor vehicles passing but allowing for cycles to cross. The change in road signage will ensure the following:
The main through route for traffic (west to north) will be from Hythe Bridge Street into Worcester Street north and vice versa.

Local traffic (permitted vehicles only - buses, cycles, access and deliveries) will be able to travel from George Street into Worcester Street south and vice versa.
