SOMERSET COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT OF SEDGEMOOR PARISH OF CANNINGTON Temporary Closure of Footpath BW 5/4 TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Procedure Regulations 1992 The Secretary of State for Transport in exercise of his powers under section 15(5) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has approved an extension to the above Order for a period of six months from 13 May 2018 until 13 Nov 2018. The original Order came into effect on 13 November 2015 due to the collapse of the river bank. The Order prohibits all traffic from proceeding along part of Footpath BW 5/4 from Stallington's Clyce for approximately 130m in a westerly direction along the bank of the river Parrett.
