M4 MOTORWAY (JUNCTIONS 1 - 3) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M4 Motorway in the London Boroughs of Hounslowand Hillingdon, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road.
The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of both carriageways of the M4 between Junction 1 (A4/A205/A315/A406) and Junction 3 (A312), and all slip roads leading to and from this length. These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway works, drainage works, maintenance works, inspections and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 6 weeks starting on or after Monday 14th May 2018. The overnight closures will take place between (maximum period):
Monday-Thursdays 22:00-05:30
Fridays 23:00-06:00
Saturdays 22:00 - 06:00
Sundays 22:30-05:30
The Order will come into force on 12th May 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. Traffic affected by the carriageway and slip road closures will be diverted using A4 and A312. Traffic wishing to exit the westbound Heston Services will be directed to use Phoenix Way and Cranford Lane and then to follow the diversion above. Traffic wishing to exit the eastbound Heston Services will be directed to use the unnamed road, North Hyde Lane and Vicarage Farm Road and then to follow the diversion above. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
