WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (GODDARDS GREEN, WOKEFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018
West Berkshire District Council INTENDS, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the Eastern link of Goddards Green at the junction with Goring Lane. The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the Order is via the Western link of Goddards Green and Goring Lane. The purpose of this Order is to enable BT cabling to restore customer connection. The proposed Order will come into effect on 24th May 2018. It is envisaged that the closure will be in place between 09:30 and 15:30 hrs on the 24th and 25th May 2018. The Order shall remain in force for a period of Eighteen months, or until the works are complete,
whichever is the soonest.
The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected. Dated: 3rd May 2018
