Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Grove, Footpaths 253/3 & 345/6 and
Bridleways 285/1, 235/7
Closures at level crossings
Date of Order: 14 May 2018
Coming into force: 23 May 2018
This Order is being introduced because of network rail
electrification testing which are anticipated to take 4 weeks to
complete.
The effect of the Order is to close temporarily 4 level crossings
north of Grove for 24 hours of every day as follows:
Butterfly Lane near Grove level crossing (Bridleway) Ref no:
235/26 and 285/25. Postcode: OX12 7QQ
Wantage Road level crossing (Footpath) Ref no: 235/3 Postcode:
OX12 0DL
Grove level crossing (Bridleway) Ref no: 235/7 Postcode:
OX12 0QY
Knighton level crossing (Footpath) Ref no: 345/6 Postcode:
SN7 7QT
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the
works and for pedestrian access to premises which are only
accessible from the closed section of footpath. Appropriate
signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in
force. There will be no alternative routes signed.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 6 months
or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.

Abingdon, Victoria Road, Letcombe Avenue,
Wootton Road and Boxhill Walk
Prohibition of Through Traffic and Waiting
Date of Order: 30 April 2018
Coming into force: 7 May 2018
This Order is being introduced because of Gas mains replacement
works which are anticipated to take 4 months to complete.
The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle
proceeding and/or waiting in the lengths of Victoria Road (south
of Park Road), Letcombe Avenue (close to Bath Street) Wootton
Road (north of Boxhill Walk and south of Northcourt Road) and
Boxhill Walk (at the junction with Wootton Road).
Anticipated dates:
Victoria Road 7 May to 8 June (Road Closure and No Waiting)
Letcombe Avenue 11 June - 24 June (Road Closure)
Wootton Road and Boxhill Junction 16 July - 3 September (Road
Closure).
Appropriate traffic signs are displayed to indicate when and
where the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the
works and for access to premises which are only accessible
from the closed section of road.
The alternative routes for traffic affected by the closures will
be signed accordingly.
This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18
months or until the works have been completed whichever is
