ST. HELENS BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION (A580/A570 WINDLE ISLAND JUNCTION) ACT 1994 THE BOROUGH OF ST. HELENS (A580/A570 WINDLE ISLAND JUNCTION) ORDER 2018

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that The Borough Council of St. Helens proposes not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, the effect of which will be that:

1. No person shall cause or permit any vehicles to proceed in either direction in the roads listed in Schedule 1 at such times and in such locations as shall be indicated by traffic signs.

2. No person shall proceed in either direction on the footways or cycle ways listed in Schedule 2 at such times and in such locations as shall be indicated by traffic signs.

The Order will come into force on 30th April 2018 and have a maximum duration of 18 months. However, the Order will only be used when it is required for necessary roadworks to be carried out on the junction.
The reason for making this Order is to ensure safety and relieve congestion when road works are taking place within the Borough of St Helens.
