The Borough of Blackburn with Darwen

(Johnston Street, Blackburn) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2018

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, made the above Order under Section 14 (1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order is to close Johnston Street at its junction with Cheetham Street The closure is necessary for the following reason: Manhole Frame and Cover Replacement

The Order will come into force on 30th April 2018 and shall continue in force for a period of eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 2nd May 2018.

The alternative route for the affected traffic will

be Addison Street, Devonport Road, Crompton

Place, Saunders Road, Downham Street

Access for emergency vehicles and pedestrians

will be maintained at all times.
