(C93 WITTON PARK BRIDGE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 20/04/18 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of
the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to
all vehicular traffic a 1.3 km length of C93 Witton Park Bridge
road that extends southwards between its junctions with the
access to Low Wadsworth Farm / Sewage Works and Witton
Park to enable bridge maintenance works to be undertaken.
The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the
Order is 18 months and is required from 30/04/18 and for the
duration of the works anticipated to be 16 weeks. However, on
rare occasions, alternative dates for closure may be necessary
and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from
the southern side of the closure from Witton Park south westerly
on Park Road then westerly on Sloshes Lane, north on A68 then
easterly on C18a to Witton le Wear and continuing eastwards on
Low Lane to the junction with C93 (signposted to Witton Park)
to the northern side of the closure, and vice versa.
