Notice of Application for the Variation of a Premises Licence
Take notice that: 15th September 2015 We: 22-44 The Shamble Limited of: BCL House, 2 Pavilion Business Park, Royds Hall Road, Leeds, LS12 6AJ made application to the City of York Council for the variation of a Premises Licence at the following premises: 44 Shambles, York YO1 7LX. The Licensing Application Register can be viewed by prior arrangement with the City of York Council Licensing Section (Tel: 01904 552512) at Hazel Court, EcoDepot, James Street, York YO10 3DS between 8.30am and 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Representations to this application can be made in writing by any responsible authority or any other person to City of York Council Licensing Services, Hazel Court, EcoDepot, James Street, York YO10 3DS. Representations must be received by no later than 14th October 2015 being within a 28 day period beginning the first day after the application is made. Summary of Proposed Variations 1. Extension of licensed premises/licensable area to include outside designated area at rear (fronting on to Shambles market). 2. Deletion of Condition requiring the retail sale of alcohol to be ancillary to the provision of food. 3. Addition of Condition to the effect that the premises shall operate as a predominantly food led establishment. 4. Addition of Condition requiring minimum amount of seating/tables in each part of the licensed premises. 5. Addition of Condition requiring waitress service in the outside designated area and proper demarcation of that area and satisfactory storage arrangements for tables/chairs. 6. Addition of Condition requiring installation of CCTV at the premises and deadling with its use. 7. Extension of requirements with regard to staff training and incident book/refusals register. 8. Addition of Condition expressly requiring operation of Challenge 21 policy for sale of alcohol. 9. Addition of Condition requiring alcoholic drinks only to be taken off the premises in sealed containers. It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application for the variation of a Premises Licence. A person guilty of such an offence is liable to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale.
