Morrell Avenue andWarneford Lane Date of Order: 8 May 2018 - In force: 18 May 2018 This Order is being introduced on public safety grounds to manage traffic and pedestrians during the Common People 2018 Event at South Parks. The event is being held in South Park OX4 1NT, Oxford and will operate over the May Bank Holiday weekend 26th and 27th of May and is organised by Robert Gorham, Common People Oxford Limited, 3 Loughborough Street, London SE11 5RB.The effect of the Order is as follows:
This Order is being introduced on public safety grounds to manage traffic and pedestrians during the Common People 2018 Event at South Parks. The event is being held in South Park OX4 1NT, Oxford and will operate over the May Bank Holiday weekend 26th and 27th of May and is organised by Robert Gorham, Common People Oxford Limited, 3 Loughborough Street, London SE11 5RB.The effect of the Order is as follows:
(1) Morrell Avenue Suspend the first 2 *parking places opposite the junction with Cross Street, throughout Friday 18th May - IstJune to facilitate ingress and egress of the site and equipment (*2 hour parking, no return within 2 hrs 8am-6.30pm Mon-Sat, Permits Holders exempt);
(2) Between 9.30pm and midnight on Saturday & Sunday 27 & 28 May: Morrell Avenue - closed between St Clements and East Avenue (except access for residents);
(3) Cross Street - closed between its junctions with Morrell Avenue and Princes Street (except access for residents);
(4) Cross Street - One-Way traffic westwards from Princes Street to Rectory Road;
(5) Princes Street - Left turn only into Cross Street;
(6) Union Street - Closed from Collins Street to Morrell Avenue
(7) Warneford Lane - suspend all permitted parking on Warneford Lane north side adjacent to South Park from 6pm Friday 25 May to midnight Sunday 27 May (Shuttle buses and a taxi rank will be provided).
The alternative route for the Morrell Avenue closure is clockwise via Headington Road/Hill (A420), Gipsy Lane and Warneford Lane, and counter-clockwise via St.Clements Street, Iffley Rd (B480) and Divinity Road. The relevant parking restrictions in The City of Oxford (Headington West) (Controlled Parking Zone) Order 2000 (as amended) and The Oxfordshire County Council (East Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone, Waiting Restrictions and Traffic Management) Order 20I0 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended to remove parking bays as above.
This Order will remain in force from I8 May 20I8 for the duration only of the measures associated with the event.
