Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the following Order: B4260, High Street, Ross-On-Wye , Temporary Road Closure Order, to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the B4260, High Street, Ross-On-Wye, from the junction of Wilton Road and Edde Cross Street to outside No 4 High Street. Grid Ref: 359814 / 224154. The alternative route for East bound traffic affected by the proposal is via Edde Cross Street onto Greytree Road onto Millpond Street onto Smallbrook Road onto the B4260. The alternative route for West bound traffic affected by the proposal is via the B4234 onto Kyrle Street onto Edde Cross Street.
The said closure is required due to the installation of a new duct for future telecoms cables works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 21stof May2018 and remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State) but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
