OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL FARINGDON ROAD (ABINGDON) -PROPOSED ZEBRA CROSSING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to construct a zebra crossing to facilitate the safe movement of pedestrians:
Faringdon Road - approximately 70* metres west of its junction with Godwyn Close.
This is an amended proposal following a previous consultation carried out in June 2016, with the proposed location moved westwards by approx. 40 metres. *All dimensions are approximate, taken from the centre of the junction to the centre of the feature.

Documents giving more details of the proposals are available for public inspection online by visiting: https://consultations. oxfordshire.gov.uk, or in person at County Hall, Oxford, OX1 1ND, between 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday; and at Abingdon Library, The Charter, OX14 3LY from 9am to 7pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9am to 1pm Thursday and from 9am to 4.30pm Saturday. Objections to the proposal, specifying the grounds on which they are made and any other representations should be sent in writing to the address below (or via the web address above) no later than 25 May 2018. The County Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made available to the public. DUNMORE ROAD, OXFORD ROAD & TWELEVE ACRE DRIVE

(ABINGDON)-PROPOSED TOUCAN & PEGASUS CROSSINGS
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to construct the following features within northern Abingdon to help improve pedestrian, pedal cyclist & horse rider safety in respect to the new housing development:
Toucan crossings (a signal controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) at the following locations:
1. Dunmore Road (East) - approx. 110 metres east of its junction with Boulter Drive,
2. Dunmore Road (West) - approx. 130 metres west of its junction with Boulter Drive,
3. Oxford Road - approx. 130 metres north of its junction with the Twelve Acre Drive/Dunmore Road roundabout,
4. Twelve Acre Drive - approx. 115 metres east of its junction with Matlock Way.

Pegasus crossing (a signal controlled crossing with special consideration for horse riders) at the following location:
1. Dunmore Road (West) - approx. 140 metres west of its junction with Boulter Drive.
