M25 MOTORWAY (HOLMESDALE TUNNEL) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the M25 Motorway in the County of Essex and the London Borough of Enfield, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and Regulations 7(2) and (3) of the Road Tunnel Safety Regulations 2007. The effect of the Order is to authorise the overnight closure of-
1. Both carriageways of the M25 between Junction 25 (A10) and Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6)
2. The slip roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described in (i) above at Junction 25 (A10) and Junction 26 (A121); and
3. The link roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described in (i) above at Junction 27 (M11 Junction 6).
These measures are in the interests of road safety while the Emergency Services conduct an exercise in Holmesdale Tunnel. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 1 night starting on or after Saturday 21st April 2018. The overnight closures will take place between 22:00 and 06:00 hours (maximum period).The Order will come into force on 19 April 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the M11, A10, A121 and A406. The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
