CHESHIRE EAST BOROUGH COUNCIL

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS -Restricted Byway No 4 (part) in the Parish of Tabley Superior and Restricted Byway No 2 in the Parish of Mere)

Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order effective from the 10th October 2017 being extended and continuing in force until 10th April 2019. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit all users on the following lengths of Public Footpath:

That length of Restricted Byway No 4 Tabley Superior which commences at OSGR SJ 7093 8051 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approx. 56m to its junction with Restricted Byway No 2 Mere at the parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7096 8055. That length of Restricted Byway No 2 Mere which commences at its junction with Restricted Byway No 4 Tabley Superior at the parish boundary at OSGR SJ 7096 8055 and runs in a generally northerly direction for approx. 565m to its junction with Public Bridleway No. 1 Mere at Winterbottom Farm at OSGR SJ 7097 8104. This closure is necessary to prevent the likelihood of danger to the public posed by vehicular traffic on the M6 motorway until the missing bridge that carried the restricted byway across the motorway, can be replaced.
