(Brick Road, Kiln Way, Sandy Crescent (former Star Lane Brickworks site), Great Wakering) (20mph Zone) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that Essex County Council has made the above Order under Sections 84(1) (a) and (2) and Part III of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The effect of the Order: To introduce a 20mph Zone on the following lengths of Brick Road, Kiln Way, Sandy Crescent (former Star Lane Brickworks site), Great Wakering in the District of Rochford: Road Description



Brick Road, From its northern junction with Sandy Crescent, Great Wakering southwards to its southern junction with Sandy

Crescent including its spur on the eastern side. Kiln Way, From its junction with Sandy Crescent, southwards



Great Wakering and eastwards to its junction with Brick Road,

including its spur on the west side. Sandy From a point approximately 15 metres east of its



Crescent, junction with Star Lane, eastwards, southwards and



Great Wakering westwards for its remaining length, including the

two spurs on the northern side and the spur on the

eastern side.

Date of operation: The Order will come into operation on 16 April 2018. Further details: A copy of the Order and plans may be examined during normal office hours at County Hall, Chelmsford CM1 1LX. Application to the high court: Anyone who wishes to question the validity of the Order of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or any instrument made under it, has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within six weeks from the date of the making of the Order apply to the High Court for this purpose.

(Grove Road, Rayleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Grove Road, Rayleigh in the District of Rochford, from its junction with The Chase for a distance of approximately 59m in a westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th April 2018 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO54376774 - Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on www.roadworks.org. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replacing manhole frame works are undertaken by Anglian Water. An alternative route is available via The Chase, Eastwood Road, Trinity Road, Grove Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 5th April 2018 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
