Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1281 Aston Crews South to Gloucestershire Boundary, Lea, Temporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1281 Aston Crews South to Gloucestershire Boundary outside High Bank Orchard OS Grid Ref: 366842 / 220969. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A40 onto the B4222 onto the B4224 onto Ross Road onto Carisbrook Road onto Bradley Court Road and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to repairs to the overhead phone cable network and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 15th April 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 day.
