Notice of Rail Crossing Diversion Order and Definitive Map Modification Order Highways Act 1980 section 119A, Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 section 53(a)(2)
The Wiltshire Council Great Bedwyn 6(part) Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification order 2018.
The above Order was made on 5th April 2018. The effect of the Order, if confirmed as made will be to divert the rail crossing on footpath Great Bedwyn 6, east of Church Street, Great Bedwyn, to a location approximately 10 metres south west of its current location. The diversion is necessary for public safety. A copy of the Order and the Order Map have been placed, and may be seen free of charge, at Rights of Way and Countryside, Unit 9, Ascot Court, Aintree Avenue, White Horse Business Park Trowbridge, Wiltshire, BA14 0XA during normal office hours. (a) Hill Corner Road (Part), Chippenham; for a distance of approximately 30m either side of its junction with Birds Marsh View to enable SSE Street Lighting to undertake works to lay cable. Alternative route via Hill Corner Road (unaffected length) - Greenway Lane - Hill Rise - Barrow Green - Heathfield - Hill Corner Road (unaffected length) and vice versa. (c) Rudge Lane (Part), Wilcot; from its junction with C264 Draycott Fitzpayne for a distance of approximately 60m in a northerly direction to enable Wessex Water to replace chamber and cover. (d) The Crossing (Part), Minety; for a distance of approximately 75m either side of the level crossing to enable Network Rail to carry out plain line tamping work. This Order will come into operation on 16 May 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one night between the hours of 23.00 and 05.25. (f) Brook Street (Part), Great Bedwyn; for a distance if approximately 50m either side of the railway bridge to enable Balfour Beatty to undertake works to powder coat palisade fencing. Alternative route via Brook Street (unaffected length) - Jockey Green - Oxenwood Road - A338 -High Street, Burbage -Savernake Road - Durley- Bedwyn Common - Forest Hill and vice versa. This Order will come into operation on 25 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required between the hours of 21.00 and 06.00 until 27 April 2018. (h) B4040 (Part) Station Road/Sambourne Road, Minety; from its junction with London Lane for a distance of approximately 500m in a north-easterly direction to enable Network Rail to excavate slip trench to locate services. Alternative route via B4040 (unaffected length) - B4696 -B4042 - A429 and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 3 March 2018, will now recommence on 21 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one night between the hours of 23.00 and 06.00. (i) Windsor Close, Chippenham; from its junction with Queens Crescent for its entire length to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. No alternative route is available. This Order, which previously came into operation on 13 April 2018, will now recommence on 26 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of some of the works.

Article 4(1) Direction with 'Immediate Effect'
This Direction is made under Article 4(1) of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order 2015 (the "Order"). The Direction has the immediate effect of removing 'permitted development' entitlement for development otherwise permitted by Article 3 of the Order and described in Schedule 2, Part 4, Class B of the Order. This Description of development is set out in Schedule 1 of this Notice and the Land to which the Direction relates is set out in Schedule 2 of this Notice and edged in red on the Plan at Schedule 3 of this Notice.
SCHEDULE 2 - Land to which Direction relates (the 'Land'): Crookwood Farm, Crookwood Lane, Pottterne, Wiltshire, SN10 5QS SCHEDULE 1 - Description of development to which Direction relates (the 'Description'):
The use of the Land for any purpose for not more than 28 days in total in any calendar year, of which not more than 14 days in total may be for the purposes of -
(a) the holding of a market;
(b) motor car and motorcycle racing including trials of speed, and practising for these activities, and the provision of any moveable structure for the purposes of the permitted use.
This Direction has immediate effect from the date of this Notice.
