OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL -ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 -SECTION 14(1) & (7) Notice of Temporary Traffic Order

Oxford -Various Roads Temporary Traffic Restrictions Date of Order: 30 April 2018 Coming into force: 8 May 2018 This Order is being introduced because of carriageway maintenance works along Woodstock Road which are anticipated to take 2 months to complete. The effect of the Order is as follows:
Prohibition of Vehicles:
Road (from junction with Woodstock Rd forapprox. 30m)
Alternative Route:
Moreton Road for 30m
Banbury Rd - Lathbury Rd -Woodstock Rd & vice-versa
Bainton Road for 30m
Woodstock Rd - Frenchay Rd & vice-versa
Beech Croft Road for 30m
Banbury Rd - Lathbury Rd -Woodstock Rd & vice-versa
Thorncliffe Road for 50m
Oakthorpe Pl - Stratfield Rd -South Parade - Woodstock Rd
Oakthorpe Road for 30m
Woodstock Rd - Beech Croft Rd - Banbury Rd -Thorncliffe Rd -Oakthorpe Pl
Elizabeth Jennings Way for 30m
Woodstock Rd - Bainton Rd -Frenchay Rd (bollards will be dropped) & vice-versa
Clearway - Prohibition of Stopping, Waiting & Loading:
Woodstock Road from its junction with Lathbury to its junction with St Edward's Ave
Temporary Suspension of One Way Traffic to enable access/exit:
Thorncliffe Road
via Banbury Road
Oakthorpe Road
via Woodstock Road

Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.
Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner.


The relevant parts of The City of Oxford (Various Streets North Oxford) (Traffic Regulation) Order 1992 (as amended); The Oxfordshire County Council (North Oxford) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2004 (as amended); and The Oxfordshire County Council (Summertown) (Controlled Parking Zone and Various Restrictions) Order 2006 (as amended) will be temporarily suspended when traffic signs indicate.
