(NORTH ROAD, DURHAM CITY) (BUS GATE) ORDER 2018
The Council proposes to make an Order under Sections
1, 2 & 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended,
and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the
Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III of Schedule
9 to the Act, the effect of which will replace the existing Bus
Gate Order 2017 and introduce a Bus Gate on Unc. 27.6 North Road, Durham which will allow buses, cycles and taxis only
to proceed from its junction with Neville Street for 5 metres
in a south easterly direction between 10am - midnight and
midnight to 6am on any day. A copy of the draft Order and
supporting documents may be inspected at Durham Clayport
library & County Hall, Durham during normal opening hours
and via the Council website. Any person who wishes to object
to the proposed Order should send their grounds of objection
in writing, to Loraine Holding, Legal Assistant at County Hall,
Durham or by email to highways.orders@durham.gov.uk quoting
ref: 17705 by 03/05/18.
