BURY COUNCIL
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Bury Metropolitan Borough Council has made the Orders listed below under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended. The Council has implemented a regeneration scheme of the main part of Prestwich High Street and the general effect of the orders will be to:-

1. revoke and/or consolidate existing traffic regulation orders as appropriate; and

2. introduce traffic regulation orders to incorporate the following:-Revocation of One Way Working on Warwick Street;

Prohibition of Driving on Warwick Street, at its junction with Bury New Road; No Waiting at Any time, No Loading at Any time on Warwick Street - To protect the newly created turning head resulting from the closure of Warwick Street to traffic;
Bus Stop Clearways (No Stopping 7am - 11pm) Proposed bus lay-by located on the east side of Bury New Road in the vicinity of the Longfield Centre and a proposed bus lay-by located on the west side of Bury New Road in the vicinity of the closed junction of Warwick Street;
Limited Waiting on Bury New Road - Removal of existing limited waiting and creation of limited waiting within new lay-bys within reconfigured layout (Mon-Sat 8am-6pm 1 hour No Return within 1 hour)
Warwick Street - amendment of extents of limited waiting to accommodate closure and new turning head on Warwick Street (retaining existing restriction Mon-Sat 8am - 6pm 2 hours No Return within 2 hours);
No Waiting at Any Time, No loading Mon-Sat 8.00-9.30am, Mon-Fri 4.00-6.30pm -Upgrading of existing working day restrictions for remaining areas of Bury New Road where there are no other restrictions/lay-bys; Loading Only Bays, Mon-Sat 8am-6pm
Bury New Road, west side, north of Sherbourne Street
Bury New Road, east side, south of Greenhill
Bury New Road, east side, outside 438 Bury New Road; and
Loading Only at All Times on Warwick Street, at the newly created cul-de-sac end.
