HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116 APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make application to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Princes Street, Swindon
SN1 2JB on Tuesday 1 May 2018 at 2pm for an Order stopping up highway over part of Langley Burrell Footpath 22 on the
ground that it is unnecessary for public use. The application will be made on behalf of Wavin Ltd. of Parsonage Way, Chippenham.
A copy of the plan showing the effect of the application may be obtained from – and any queries directed to - Mr. Gale of Legal
Services on tel. No. (01225) 718023. Alternatively, it may be inspected free of charge by prior arrangement with Mr. Gale at
County Hall, Trowbridge, during normal office hours.
Any person who has been served with notice, any person who uses the highway or any other person who would be aggrieved
by the making of the Order may attend or write to the court and make their objections or representations known. If they have

Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic: (a) Common Slip, Chippenham;
from its junction with The Butts for its entire length to enable Wessex Water to install sewer level monitoring equipment in
manhole. No alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 16 April 2018 and it is anticipated that
the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 12.30. For further information please contact Sean
Cahill (Wessex Water) on 01633870083; (b) Windsor Close, Chippenham; from its junction with Queens Crescent for
its entire length to enable Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings. No
alternative route is available. This Order will come into operation on 13 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will

Chippenham and Calne Without; from its junction with A342 Old Derry Hill to its junction with London Road to enable Tarmac to
carry out full width carriageway reconstruction with associated works including road markings and ironworks. Alternative route via
A4 (unaffected length) – B4643 Melksham Road – B4528 Showell – A350 – A3102 – A342 and vice versa. This Order will come into
operation on 18 April 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required nightly between the hours of 19.00 and 06.00 until

Wiltshire Council has made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (d) Back Lane (Part), Ramsbury; from its junction
with Burdett Street to its junction with Knowledge Crescent to enable Thames Water to undertake works to repair an active leak.
Alternative route via Back Lane (unaffected length) – High Street – The Square – Back Lane (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until 3 April 2018.

duration of 18 months. Notice is hereby given that Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic to enable
Eurovia to undertake works for carriageway resurfacing, surface dressing and road markings: (e) Manor Park, Froxfield; from
its junction with Brewhouse Hill for its entire length. No alternative route is available. This Order, which previously came into
operation on 16 March 2018, will now recommence on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required until
28 March 2018; (f) A345 (Part), Pewsey/Manningford/North Newnton; from its junction with Swan Road, Pewsey to its
junction with Rushall Road, Woodbridge. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) – A342 – A338 – A346 – A345 (unaffected
length) and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 12 March 2018, will now recommence on 27 March 2018
and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for two days; (g) A345 (Part), Savernake; from its junction with Manton
Drove for a distance of approximately 3.12km in a southerly direction. Alternative route via A345 (unaffected length) – A342 –
A338 – A346 – A345 (unaffected length) and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 15 March 2018, will now
recommence on 26 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for two days. For further information regarding

made an Order to close temporarily to all traffic: (h) C28 The Street (Part), Lydiard Millicent; from its junction with Park View
Drive to its junction with Walnut Tree Gardens to enable Cappagh Contractors to replace a sewer cover. Alternative route via The
Street (unaffected length) – Holborn – The Elms - Washpool – Common Platt – Stone Lane – Church Place – The Street (unaffected
length) and vice versa. This Order, which previously came into operation on 1 March 2018, will now recommence on 27 March 2018
and it is anticipated that the closure will be required for one day between the hours of 09.30 and 15.30. For further information
please contact Caroline Bartlett (Cappagh Contractors) on 02059444000. Orders (e) to (h) have a maximum duration of 18 months.
The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs.
It is anticipated that the works will take the stated durations to complete
depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and
businesses where possible, although delays are possible due to the nature of some
of the works.
