SWINDON BOROUGH COUNCIL PUBLIC NOTICE VARIOUS TRAFFIC ORDERS
Notice is given that the Council has made on the 7 March 2018
the listed below under the provisions of The Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984:
1. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading
Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation)
Order 2017 (Variation No. 1) Order 2018
Order in Operation on the 28 March 2018
Revocation of the ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction along
Whitbourne Avenue and Shaftesbury Avenue. The bus stop
clearway on Whitbourne Avenue (south side) located south
east of the junction with Cranmore Avenue is to be revoked
and a 24 hour bus stop clearway where stopping is prohibited
with the exception of buses on Whitbourne Avenue (south side)
located south east of the junction with Horsham Road is
introduced.
2. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading
Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation)
Order 2017 (Variation No. 3) Order 2018
Order in Operation on the 12 March 2018.
Implementation of ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on
Queintin Road and Berenger Close.
3. Swindon Borough Council (Various Roads, Swindon)
(30 M.P.H Speed Limit) Consolidation Order 2017
(Amendment No. 1) Order 2018 And Swindon Borough
Council (Mill Lane, Foxham Way And Peglars Way,
Swindon) (20 mph Zone) Order 2018
Order in Operation on the 12 March 2018.
Introduction of a speed limit of 20mph and 30mph on Mill
Lane, Foxham Way and Peglars Way, Wichelstowe, Swindon.
4. The Swindon Borough Council (Various Roads, Swindon)
(30 M.P.H Speed Limit)) Consolidation Order 2017
(Amendment No. 2) Order 2018 and Swindon Borough
Council (Various Roads, Swindon) (40 mph Speed Limit)
(Consolidation) Order 2014
Amendment Order (No 1) 2018
Order in Operation on the 28 March 2018.
Introduction of 30mph and 40pmh speed limit on Broome
Manor Lane.
5. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading
Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation)
Order 2017 (Variation No. 2) Order 2018
Order In Operation on the 28 March 2018.
Revocation of the ‘no waiting Mon-Sat 7am-7pm’ restriction
on the layby on Swindon Road, near the southern junction with
Tilley’s Lane. The ‘Limited Waiting 2 Hours Mon-Sat 8am-6pm
No Return Within 1 Hour’, restriction across the layby will
remain in operation.
6. Swindon Borough Council (Waiting and Loading
Restrictions and Parking Places Consolidation)
Order 2017 (Variation No. 5) Order 2018
In Operation on the 12 March 2018
Implementation of ‘no waiting at any time’ restriction on
Yiewsley Crescent at its northern junction with Grange Drive.
Copies of the above Orders may be inspected at the One Stop
Shop, Wat Tyler House, Euclid Street, Swindon during opening
hours.
If you wish to question the validity of the Orders, or of any
provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within
the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
or on the grounds that any requirements of that Act or of any
instrument made thereunder has not been complied with in
relation to the Orders, you may, within 6 weeks from 7 March
2018 apply to the High Court for this purpose.
