THE A533 (MERSEY GATEWAY BRIDGE) AND THE A557 (SILVER JUBILEE BRIDGE] ROADS USER CHARGING SCHEME ORDER 2018 CONSULTATION
Halton Council are undertaking consultation In connection with the proposed A533 (Mersey Gateway Bridge) and the A557 (Silver Jubilee Bridge) Roads User Charging Scheme Order 2018 ("Order") between 8th March 2018 and 29th March 2018.
The proposed Order, If made, will revoke the existing Charging Scheme and replace It with a new Charging Scheme in substantially the same form, but with changes including the following:
A) Specified toll charges within the Order; and
B) Further vehicle class exemptions from tolls, including agricultural tractors and a broader definition of ambulances.
Consultation documents, including a copy of the proposed Order, can be viewed at all reasonable hours (9.00am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, 9.00am-1 pm Saturday) at Halton Direct Link, Brook Street, Widnes, Cheshire, WA8 6NB, Halton Direct Link, Runcorn Shopping City, Runcorn, Cheshire, WA7 2EU or on the websitewww.merseygateway.co.uk/consultation2018.
Responses to the consultation must be made in writing and either submitted by email to consultation@merseygateway.co.uk or sent for the attention of the Mersey Gateway Crossings Board to Halton Borough Council, Municipal Buildings, Kingsway, Widnes WA8 7QF to be received before 29th March 2018.
The Council will consider all consultation responses received before the specified date in determining whether or not to make the proposed Order.
