Herefordshire Council Notice of Making
NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council,
as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have
made the U71235 The Doward from Hawthorn Cottage to Horse Pool Lane, Symonds Yat,
Temporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit
the use by vehicles on the following road: U71235 The
Doward from Hawthorn Cottage to Horse Pool Lane
outside Highbury OS Grid Ref: 354997 / 216894. The
alternative route for those affected by the proposal is
via the U71234 Sandyway Lane onto the U71235 The
Doward (Horse Pool Lane onto MayBush Lane onto
Mine Pitts Lane onto Sawpitts Lane) and vice versa.
The said closure is required due to the renewal of an
existing water stop tap and the likelihood of danger
to the public while the works are taking place. The
said closure will come into force on 5th March 2018
and may remain in force for a maximum period of
18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the
Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be
