Temporary Closure of Bere Heath Road, Bere Regis

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along BERE HEATH ROAD, BERE REGIS in the vicinity of Tanpits Bridge, for a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 30 April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Sunday 10 June 2018.

This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out essential bridge repairs.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure of East Chaldon Road

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along the East Chaldon Road in the vicinity of the footbridge just south of the Sailors Return public house, for a distance of approximately 50 metres. The Order is needed to comply with Health and Safety Regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on Monday 30 April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However, it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 11 May 2018. This order will enable Dorset County Council to carry out a footbridge replacement scheme.

A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffic to travel around the closed sections.

Temporary Closure Of Durngate Street, Dorchester

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DURNGATE STREET, DORCHESTER from the Walnut Grove Cafe to its junction with South Street, a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 16th April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3rd August 2018.

This order will enable Blacknoll Limited safe access to carry out emergency works to the upper floors of The Works and Trespass retail units which are structurally unsafe. The closure will allow for a builders compound to carry out all demolitions and rebuilding of the balconys including ongoing scaffolding alterations as required. On this occasion there will be no alternative route.
