A34 TRUNK ROAD
(HAMPSHIRE, OXFORDSHIRE AND BERKSHIRE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A34 Trunk Road in the Counties of Hampshire and Oxfordshire, and the Unitary Authority of West Berkshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise:-
1. the phased overnight closure of -
(a) the link road connecting the northbound carriageway of the A34 to the northbound carriageway of the A33 at Kings Worthy Interchange (A33);
(b) the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Three Maids Hill (A272/B3420);
(c) the slip road leading from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Litchfield Interchange;
(d) the slip road leading from the A34 northbound entry slip to Graces Lane at Chieveley Interchange (M4 Junction 13);
(e) the slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A34 at East Ilsley Interchange;
(f) the slip roads leading to and from the northbound carriageway of the A34 at West Ilsley Interchange;
(g) the slip roads leading to and from the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Islip Interchange (B4027);
(h) the slip road leading to the southbound carriageway of the A34 at Weston-on-the-Green Interchange (B430); and
(i) the slip road leading to the depot from the southbound carriageway of the A34, north of the M3 Junction 9 roundabout.
2. The 24-hour closure of any layby adjacent to both carriageways of the A34 between Bullington Cross Interchange (A30/A303) and Weston-on-the-Green Interchange (B430).
These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake sign works and all associated works.
It is expected that the work would last for approximately 3 months starting on or after Thursday 26th April 2018. The overnight closures would take place between 22:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order would come into force on 24th April 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures would be diverted via other junctions of the A34 or using the M3 and A30. The diversion route would vary depending on the closure in force.
The temporary closures and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.

A303 TRUNK ROAD (NEAR ANDOVER) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited has made an Order on the A303 Trunk Road in the County of Hampshire, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order is, in alternate phases, to authorise:-
1. the overnight closure of -
(a) the eastbound carriageway of the A303 Hundred Acre (A342/A343) and Winchester Road (A3057);
(b) the westbound carriageway of the A303 between Picket Twenty (A3093) and Salisbury Road (A343);
(c) all slip roads leading to and from the lengths of carriageway described in 1(a) and (b) above; and
(d) the gap in the central reservation opposite Cowdown Lane at Picket
Twenty (A3093).
2. the 24-hour closure of any layby adjacent to the lengths of carriageway described in 1(a) and (b) above.
These measures are in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake carriageway works and all associated works. It is expected that the work will last for approximately 5 days starting on or after Monday 9 April 2018. The overnight closures will take place between 21:00 and 06:00 (maximum period).
The Order will come into force on 7 April 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months.
Traffic affected by the closures will be diverted using the A343, A3057 and
the A3093.
The temporary closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period.
