Temporary Closure of Durngate Street, Dorchester
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DURNGATE STREET, DORCHESTER from Walnut Grove Cafe to its junction with South Street for a distance of approximately 30 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 16th April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3rd August 2018.
This order will enable Blacknoll Limited safe access to carry out emergency works to the upper floors of The Works and Trespass retail units which are structurally unsafe. The closure will allow for a builders compound to carry out all demolitions and rebuilding of the balconys including ongoing scaffolding alterations as required. On this occasion there will be no alternative route.

Temporary Closure of Lower St Edmund Street, Weymouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along LOWER ST EDMUND STREET, WEYMOUTH from the junction with St Nicholas Street, Weymouth to the junction with Commercial Road, Weymouth, a distance of approximately 40 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 2nd April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 31 st January 2019.
This order will enable Imago Developments Ltd, safe access to allow for the construction of apartments and a commercial unit.

Dorset County Council (Footpath 14, Wool at East Burton) Rail Crossing Extinguishment Order 2018
The above Order was made on 16 March 2018 under section 118A of the Highways Act 1980 (as amended by the Transport and Works Act 1992). The Order will extinguish the public Footpath running from its junction with East Burton Road, between the properties Southbrook and Marbrouk at SY 83468690, south south west along a grass surfaced path, hedged on both sides, to the boundary of the railway at SY 83428679, continuing south south west across the railway (known as 'Darkies' Crossing) to the edge of a field at SY 83428677, then south south west across the field to its junction with Footpath 13 at SY 8338656 as shown on the Order map. (No recorded width). Please note that the current definitive map of rights of way does not show the route of Footpath 14 crossing the railway. However, the accompanying definitive statement describes the path from East Burton Road to join Footpath 13, with no mention of a gap. The route of Footpath 14 across the railway has clearly been used, well known and accepted as the legal route.

Continue west south west, via steps adjacent East Burton Road and to the south west of Whitemead Lodge to its junction with the public highway at SY 84128684. The width varies; 2.3 metres between SY 84148681, SY 84138682, and SY 84158683,2.21 metres between SY 84158683, and SY 84148684,2.3 metres between SY 84148684 and SY 84128684. Temporary Closure of Weir View, Charminster
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section I4 [I] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act I984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WEIR VIEW, CHARMINSTER from the junction with Hill View to the junction with Pound Close, a distance of approximately II0 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 3rd April 20I8 and will remain in force for I8 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th April20I8. This order will enable Gracelands Ltd safe access to carry out works associated with the Wyatt Homes development.
Please note whilst the closure is on during the Easter holidays the closure will be in place 24/7. Between 16 April & 20 April, the closure will only be imposed between 0930 and 1500.
