Temporary Closure of Darby Lane, Burton Bradstock
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along DARBY LANE, BURTON BRADSTOCK from the junction with Grove Road to the junction with Church Street, a distance of approximately 150 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 9th April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 7th May 2018.
This order will enable R&D Tuck Thatching Ltd safe access to erect scaffolding to carry out thatching works to 42 Darby Lane.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Grove Road - Middle Street - Church Street
