Notice ID: SUT0515574

Notice effective from
1st March 2018 to 31st March 2018

LONDON BOROUGH OF SUTTON LOCAL PLAN ADOPTION
In accordance with Regulation 26 and 35 of the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2012 (as amended), this Adoption Statement hereby gives notice that, on 26 February 2018, the London Borough of Sutton adopted the Sutton Local Plan as a development plan document.
The Sutton Local Plan was the subject of an independent examination conducted by Mr David Smith BA(Hons) DMS MRTPI, an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State. In his report published in January 2018, the Inspector confirmed subject to a number of main modifications that the Plan was sound and recommended its adoption. The recommended main modifications have been included in the adopted Sutton Local Plan document which now carries full weight in the consideration of planning applications.
The Sutton Local Plan sets out the planning strategy and policies for the London Borough of Sutton until 2031 and includes an appendix, which details the designations which will appear on a Policies Map. The Sutton Local Plan replaces the Core Strategy (2009) and the Site Development Policies DPD (2012).
Any person aggrieved by the Sutton Local Plan may make an application to the High Court under Section 113(3) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act on the grounds that:
(a) The Sutton Local Plan is not within the powers conferred by part 2 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act; or

(b) A procedural requirement has not been complied with.

Any such application must be made not later than the end of the period of six weeks starting with the date on which the Sutton Local Plan was adopted.
In accordance with Regulations 26 and 35 of the 2012 regulations, the following documents have been made available:
(i) The Sutton Local Plan and Appendix

(ii) This Adoption Statement; and,
