THE LONDON BOROUGH OF CROYDON ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS A LOCAL HIGHWAY AUTHORITY hereby gives notice of an Order made under section 247 of the above Act entitled "101 George Street" authorising the stopping up of parts of College Road, Croydon to enable the development described in the scheduled to this Notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to Tide Construction Limited on 2nd February 2018 reference 17/04201/FUL.
COPIES OF THE ORDER AND RELEVANT PLANS will be available for inspection at all reasonable hours at the Council Access Croydon Reception Desk, Ground Floor, Bernard Weatherill House, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1 EA and may be obtained free of charge by writing to The London Borough of Croydon, Place Department, Highway Improvements Section, Bernard Weatherill House, 6th Floor, Zone C, 8 Mint Walk, Croydon, CRO 1 EA. THE SCHEDULE
DESCRIPTION OF DEVELOPMENT
Redevelopment of the site to provide a part 38 and part 44 storey building with 546 residential flats, with the ground floor to incorporate a flexible space including retail (Class A1), cafe (Class A3), business space (Class B1) and gallery space (Class D1) uses with basement accommodating 28 disabled parking spaces, cycle storage and refuse storage, and associated hard and soft landscaping.
DESCRIPTION OF HIGHWAY TO BE STOPPED UP
The highway to be stopped up is in the London Borough of Croydon. It is shown edged black on the Plan where all measurements given are approximate and comprises of:
An irregular shaped area of all purpose highway commencing 4.50 metres from the southern channel line of George Street measured along the existing highway boundary on the west side of College Road and extending for a distance of 13.70 metres in a southerly direction with a maximum width of 6.80 metres. (Total area to be stopped up 27.80 square metres)
An irregular shaped area of all purpose highway commencing 7.60 metres from the east face of the boundary wall between the site and St Matthew's House (98 George Street) measured along the existing highway boundary on the north side of College Road and extending for a distance of 49.9 metres in an easterly direction with a maximum width of 5.70 metres. (Total area of highway to be stopped up 48.30 square metres)

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 SECTION 23
PROPOSED SIGNALISED PEDESTRIAN CROSSING WOODCOTE GROVE ROAD, COULSDON
Croydon Council HEREBY GIVES NOTICE that they propose to install a signalised controlled pedestrian crossing outside No. 121 Woodcote Grove Road, Coulsdon.
The zig-zag markings would extend approximately 19 metres either side, to the north and south of the crossing.
The general effect of the zig-zags markings would be to provide school children and other pedestrians with a safer controlled crossing point on Woodcote Grove Road, to replace an existing uncontrolled pedestrian crossing in the form of a refuge island.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984, SECTION 14 AS AMENDED, THE ROAD TRAFFIC (TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT 1991 AND ALL OTHER ENABLING POWERS EDITH ROAD, SOUTH NORWOOD TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC AND PARKING
1. Croydon Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that to facilitate preparatory works for the Access for All Scheme at Selhurst Station they have made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrian traffic and parking in Edith Road, South Norwood.

2. Whilst the said works are taking place:-

(a) the north-eastern footway of Edith Road will be closed opposite No. 17b Edith Road, from the entrance to Selhurst Station subway north-westward for a distance of 20 metres.

(b) parking will be suspended and waiting and loading restrictions operating "at any time" will be introduced on the north-east side of Edith Road from the entrance to the Selhurst Station subway north-westward for a distance

of 20 metres, to provide a diversion route for pedestrians during the footway closure.
3. The Order will come into operation on the 01 March 2018 and it is anticipated that the works will be carried out within three days. However, the Order will remain in force for 18 months to be reintroduced should further works be required.

4. The prohibitions will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
