Herefordshire Council Notice of Making

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, under its relevant powers, have made the C1247 Tregate Lane from A466, Welsh Newton, Temporary Closure Order 2018 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles on the following road: C1247 Tregate Lane from A466 outside Lower Cwm Farm OS Grid Ref: 348865 / 217588. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the U71219 Rockfield Road onto Osbaston Road onto the A466 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the repair of a burst water service and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 26th February 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 3 days.
