THE A40 TRUNK ROAD -DENHAM COURT DRIVE TEMPORARY SATURDAY PROHIBITIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited(a) intends to make an Order on the A40 Trunk Road, near Uxbridge in the County of Buckinghamshire, under Section 14(1)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because of the likelihood of danger to the public. The effect of the Order would be to prohibit right turns from -
(a)theanti-clockwise carriageway of the A40 into Denham Court Drive at Denham Roundabout (M40 Junction 1/A412/A4020); and
(b) Denham Court Drive into the anti-clockwise carriageway of the A40 at Denham Roundabout (M40 Junction 1/A412/A4020).
These measures would be in the interests of road
safety during car boot fairs.
It is expected that the restrictions would be in place every Saturday over an eight month period starting on or after Saturday 24 March 2018 between 07:00 and 16:00.
The Order would come into force on 24 March 2018 and have amaximum duration
of twelve months.
During the restriction outlined at (a) above, traffic affected would be diverted to continue anti­clockwise on the A40 to the next roundabout and return clockwise on the A40. During the
restriction outlined at (b) above, traffic affected would be diverted to use the clockwise carriageway on the A40 at Denham Roundabout. The prohibition of right turns and diversion routes would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they areinoperation.
