Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Shrivenham, Unnamed Road Prohibition of Through Traffic Date of Order: 26 February 2018 Coming into force: 3 March 2018 This Order is being introduced because of rail electrification works which is anticipated to take till the 20 May 2018 to complete. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in the unnamed section of road between Longcot Road, Shrivenham & New Road, Ashbury which crosses the rail line. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road.
The alternative route for traffic is via Longcot Road - High Street - B4000 Station Road - B4507 - road through Compton Beauchamp & vice-versa. This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner (Ref: T5349/AC)
