THE BARNET (FREE PARKING PLACES, LOADING PLACES, WAITING, LOADING AND STOPPING RESTRICTIONS) (AMENDMENT NO.45) ORDER 2018 THE BARNET (CHARGED-FOR PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.38) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBYGIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Barnet have made on 22nd February 2018 the above-mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.
As part of in-process and completed public highway adoptions in the borough and on-going regeneration development works it is considered that certain lengths of public highway should be kept clear of parked vehicles to ensure motorists and pedestrian safety, prevent obstructive parking, and allow adequate traffic flow. The general effect of the Free Order will be to introduce new or formalise existing waiting restrictions as follows: 'At any time' waiting restrictions along certain lengths of Mays Lane EN5, Green Lane HA8, Tenterden Grove NW4, Colindale Avenue NW9 and East End Road N2, and around the junctions of Mays Lane and Hammond Close EN5, Mays Lane and Hera Avenue EN5, Mays Lane and Dollis Valley Drive EN5, Colindale Avenue and Guardian Avenue NW9, Claremont Road and Swannell WayNW2, Claremont Road and Haider Close NW2, and Green Lane and Kings Drive HA8.
The Free Order and the Charged-for Order will also amend the parking layout outside No. 14 Dollis Avenue N3 in order to accommodate the vehicle crossovers for the new development. Acopy of the Orders, which will come into operation on Monday 26th February 2018 and the Council's Statement of Reasons for making the Orders can be inspected between 9am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays (Bank Holidays and Public Holidays Excepted) for aperiod of 6weeks from the date on which this notice is published at:
a) Design Team, 11th Floor Barnet House, 1255 High Road, London N20 0EJ
b) Reception, Hendon Town Hall,The Burroughs, Hendon, London, NW4 4BG
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any regulations made there under have not been complied with in relation to the Orders may withinsix weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
