OXFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

BURFORD ROAD, WITNEY: PROPOSED SHARED-USE CYCLE TRACK & TOUCAN CROSSING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Oxfordshire County Council as the local highway authority under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers proposes to construct the following features on Burford Road to help improve pedestrian and pedal cyclist safety in the area:

(a) Toucan crossing (a signal controlled crossing for use by both pedestrians and pedal cyclists) approx. 90 metres west of its junction with Springfield Park,



(b) Shared-use cycle tracks at the following locations:



? North side: from a point approximately 60 metres west of its junction with Tower Hill to a point approximately 90 metres west of its junction with Springfield Park



? South side: from a point approximately 90 metres west of its junction with Springfield Park to a point approximately 15 metres of this junction (to then link to the service road of Burford Road)

Objections to the proposals and other representations

specifying the grounds on which they are made may be

sent in writing to the address below (or via the web

address above) by no later than 16 March 2018. The

Council will consider objections and representations received in response to this Notice. They may be disseminated widely for these purposes and made
