Herefordshire Council Notice of Intention

NOTICE is hereby given that Herefordshire Council, as highway authority, intend, under its relevant powers, to make the B4348 from the A465 to the C1228 Haywood Road, Tram Inn Temporary Closure Order 2017 to temporarily prohibit the use by vehicles approximately 130 meters West and 210 meters East of each side of the crossing OS Grid Ref: 346400 / 233587. The alternative route for those affected by the proposal is via the A465 onto the A49 onto the B4348 and vice versa.

The said closure is required due to the safe access to provide maintenance to the lift crossing and replace for permanent way works and the likelihood of danger to the public while the works are taking place. The said closure will come into force on 10th March 2018 and may remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months, (unless extended with the consent of the Secretary of State), but the works are expected to be completed within 1 night.
