A23 TRUNK ROAD
(ROUTE 23 DINER LAY-BY, NEAR PYECOMBE) TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS
Notice is hereby given that Highways England Company Limited intends to make an Order on the A23 Trunk Road in the County of West Sussex, under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 because works are proposed to be executed on the road. The effect of the Order would be to authorise the 24-hour closure of the lay-by adjacent to A23 southbound located between points 360 metres and 695 metres south of the entry slip road at Pyecombe Interchange (A273). These measures would be in the interests of road safety while contractors undertake topographical survey works, trial hole works and all associated works. It is expected that the work would last for approximately 3 days starting on or after
Wednesday 11th April 2018.
The Order would come into force on 9th April 2018 and have a maximum duration of eighteen months. The temporary closure would be clearly indicated by traffic signs when they are in operation during the works period. Access to and from premises accessible from, and only from, the lay-by above would be permitted.
