THE M6 (NORTHBOUND) TO M62 (WESTBOUND) LINK ROAD (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Highways England Company Limited (Company No. 09346363) intends to make an Order on the M6 and M62 Motorways, in the Borough of Warrington, in the County of Cheshire, to enable resurfacing works including the renewal of road markings and road studs, reinstatement of traffic detector loops, and other general maintenance works; to be carried out in safety. The Order will ban all traffic from the M6 northbound to M62 westbound link road, from the last point at which the link road leaves the M6 northbound carriageway at Junction 21 a, to the first point at which it joins the M62 westbound carriageway. The works are expected to take place overnight between 20:00 hours and 05:00 hours (continuing to 07:00 hours on Saturday and Sunday mornings) during a period starting on Thursday 5 April 2018 and ending on Friday 11 May 2018. However, works may start and continue between the same times on subsequent nights until completed. Diversion routes via alternative junctions of the M6 and M62 Motorways will be well signed. The prohibition will not apply to emergency services, works, winter maintenance, or traffic officer vehicles and will only apply during such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by traffic signs.
