Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians Public Footpath No. 13 in the Parish of Middlewich
Notice is hereby given that the Secretary of State for Transport in pursuance of the power conferred upon him by sub-section (5) of the aforementioned Section 15 has approved the Order effective from the 21st August 2017 being extended and continuing in force until 30th April 2018. The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on that length of Public Footpath No. 13 in the Parish of Middlewich commencing at Croxton Road at O.S. grid reference SJ 6976 6703 and running in a generally east, south easterly direction for approximately 243 metres to its junction with the canal towpath at O.S. grid reference SJ 6984 6698 as shown on the plan by a sold bold black line. This closure is necessary to protect the public from danger whilst works are undertaken to effect adequate drainage of the land before residential development is undertaken, and once the drainage systems are in place, the public footpath will be reconstructed as a bound gravel path. Details of alternative route An alternative route is available via Croxton Lane, Waterside Way, The Windings and a short section of Public Footpath No 6 in the Parish of Sutton as shown on the plan by a dashed bold black line.
