Temporary Closure of Old Lyme Hill, Charmouth
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along OLD LYME HILL, CHARMOUTH from the junction with Old Lyme Road, a distance of approximately 100 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 19th March 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 30th March 2018.
This order will enable Dorset Drainage Services UK Ltd safe access to carry out foul sewer connection in the highway.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Old Lyme Hill - Old Lyme Road.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpaths 50 & 43 and Part of Public Bridleways 49 & 44, Halstock
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended bythe Road Traffic [Temporary Restrictions] Act 1991. All pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along footpath 50, from grid reference ST 498 080 to grid reference ST 502 079 a distance of approximately 410 metres. Footpath 43, from grid reference ST 503 080 to ST 510 078 for 890 metres. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along part of, bridleway 49, from grid reference ST 503 080 to ST 501 068 for 780 metres. Bridleway 44 from grid reference ST 503 080 to ST 507 075 for 1300 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 19 March 2018 for a period of 26 weeks until 19 September 2018. But it can be, extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
The order is required for Health and Safety reasons to allow Balfour Beatty to carry out works to repair/replace the high voltage power lines for Scottish and Southern Electricity.

The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. The above Order, made on 9 March 2018, if confirmed as made, will modify the definitive map and statement for the area, in the parish of Bridport in the West Dorset District, by adding to them:-A Restricted Byway at Bridport in the West Dorset District: (To be numbered Restricted Byway 47, Bridport)
From its junction with the B3162 Dottery Road, north west of 224 North Allington Road at SY 46109391, east and east south east along a tarmac surfaced path (known as Donkey Lane), running parallel with the Allington parish boundary, to SY 46149390, north west of Meadowside. Continue east south east along a concrete surfaced path to its junction with Footpath 4, Allington, north of Meadowside at SY 46169390 and east south east to its junction with Footpath 3, Allington, north east of Meadowside at SY 46179389. Continue east south east, (via SY 46179389), across an area of grass with trees and shrubs, passing to the north of 75b Court Orchard Road, to its junction with Court Orchard Road at SY 46209387, then east south east, continuing to the Allington parish boundary, north of 79 Orchard Crescent at SY 46269387. Width: variable between 7 to 12 metres as shown shaded cross hatched on the Order plan 16/17/6.
