Temporary Traffic Management Order, Trinity Street, Dorchester

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 19th March 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 26th October 2018.

This order will enable Skelly Construction safe access to carry out the demolition and construction on land at the rear of 1 South Terrace.

The effect of the order is as follows;

[1] The footpath between Trinity Street and South Street to be fully closed.

[2] Footway to the front of proposed building on Trinity Street to be closed for the duration of the works. [3] To reduce the taxi rank by one car length in front of Hardy's Freehouse.

[4] To close Trinity Street approximately 6 times during the duration of works to allow the use of a contract crane lift for the floor beams, stairs, roof steels and roof coverings. These lifts will take place early on Sunday mornings and advance warning signs will be placed at each time. A temporary two way system will be in place at these times to allow access to businesses including the taxi rank.

Temporary Closure of Weir View, Charminster

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [I] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along WEIR VIEW, CHARMINSTER from the junction with Hill View to the junction with Pound Close, a distance of approximately 110 metres. The order is needed in orderto comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on 3rd April 2018 and will remain in force for 18 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 20th April 2018

This order will enable Gracelands Ltd safe access to carry out works associated with the Wyatt Homes development.

Please note whilst the closure is on during the Easter holidays the closure will be in place 24/7. Between 16 April & 20 April, the closure will only be imposed between 0930 and 1500.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; Hill View - Pound Close.

The County of Dorset (Preston Road, Weymouth) (Part) (40mph Speed Limit) (No. ) Order 201'

Dorset County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 84(I) and (2) and I24(I)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act I984.

The effect of the Order will be to reduce the existing 50 mph speed limit on part of Preston Road, Weymouth to 40mph. Full details of this proposal are contained in the Draft Order which, together with a plan showing the length of road affected and a statement of the County Council's reasons for proposing to make the Order, may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

The County of Dorset (CI2, Old Sherborne Road, Broken Cross, Charminster) (40mph Speed Limit) (No. 2) Order 20I8

Dorset County Council has made an Order under Sections 84(I) and (2) and I24(I)(d) of the Road Traffic Regulation

Act I984.

When the Order comes into operation on the 23 March 20I8 the effect of the Order will be to change the existing 50 mph speed limit to 40 mph speed limit on CI2, Old Sherborne Road at Broken Cross, Charminster. A copy of the Order together with a plan showing the length of road affected may be inspected from Monday to Friday during normal office hours at:-

Temporary Closure of Lower St Edmund Street, Weymouth

DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section I4 [I] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act I984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along LOWER ST EDMUND STREET, WEYMOUTH from the junction with St Nicholas Street, Weymouth to the junction with Commercial Road, Weymouth, a distance of approximately 40 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 2nd April 20I8 and will remain in force for I8 months. However it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 3Ist January 2019. This order will enable Imago Developments Ltd, safe access to allow for the construction of apartments and a commercial unit.

An alternative vehicular route will be signed using; St Nicholas Street - Commercial Road.
