Temporary Closure of Bridleway No 7, Hurn
DORSET COUNTY COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All horse riders, cyclists and pedestrians will be prohibited from proceeding along Bridleway E62/7 (Hurn) from national grid reference SZ 1375796801 to national grid reference SZ 1370696809 a distance of approximately 50 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with Health and Safety Regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to Highway Users. It will come into operation on the 07 March 2018 until the 06th September 2018, a period of 6 months. But it may be extended, with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This closure is required to enable Dorset County Council to find a solution to diverting the existing bridleway, due to safety concerns.
There is no suitable alternative route available.
