(EAST LANE, STANHOPE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 02/03/18 made an Order under Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all vehicular traffic a 12 mtr length of East Lane between the junctions of Union Lane and Martin Street, Stanhope to enable urgent gully repair works to be undertaken. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 03/03/18 and for the duration of the works, anticipated to be until 08/03/18. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: Via Martin Street, Front Street and Union Lane.
(C75 PEAKFIELD BANK, FROSTERLEY TO STANHOPE) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2018
The Council on 02/03/18 made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, to close to all traffic a 420 mtr length of road C75 that extends between Buckler Dale and the access to Peak Field Farm, Frosterley to Stanhope to enable tree removal works proposed to be executed following a land slip. The maximum duration of the temporary closure under the Order is 18 months and is required from 03/03/18 until Friday 09/03/18. However, on rare occasions, alternative dates for closures may be necessary and these will be signed accordingly. Alternative route: from the western side of the closure from the junction of C75 and C76 northerly onto A689 at Frosterley then westerly along A689 to the junction with C75 at Shittlehope Burn leading to the eastern side of the closure, and vice versa.
