WOKINGHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL (LANGLEY COMMON ROAD AND BIGGS
LANE, ARBORFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2018
NOTICE IS HEREBY given that Wokingham Borough Council as Traffic Authority proposes to make an Order under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which Is prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along:
1. Langley Common Road, Arborfleld between Its junction with Rlckman Close and B3349 School Road; and

2. Biggs Lane, Arborfleld between its junctions with Princess Marina Drive and Langley Common Road.

The reason for this prohibition Is allow Crest Nicholson contractors to undertake resurfacing and lining works In connection with roundabout construction In safety.
The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction contained in paragraph 1 hereof shall be via A327 Eversley Road and B3349 School Road, or by this route in reverse and the alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction contained in paragraph 2 hereof shall be Princess Marina Drive, Baird Road, Sheerlands Road, Nine Mile Ride extension, A327 Eversley Road and B3349 School Road, or by this route in reverse.
Access for residents and businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The restrictions contained in the Order shall come into operation on the 26lh February 2018 and shall continue in force for a period not exceeding 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier. It is, however, expected that works requiring this restriction shall be completed by 2nd March 2018.
